At Fine Job Fly Fishing Co., we believe a good day on the water is about more than fishing. It's about taking care of the river, being respectful of the people around you, and doing your part to keep the McKenzie a place people can enjoy for years to come—whether they're fishing, rowing, rafting, paddling, swimming, or just spending time along the river.
We're proud to support people and organizations that feel the same way. One of our main stewardship partners is McKenzie Masters, a local nonprofit that works to keep the McKenzie River healthy, clean, and enjoyable for the whole community.
McKenzie Masters
McKenzie Masters brings together people who care about the river and want to see it looked after. Their work supports practical projects that help keep the McKenzie clean, accessible, and welcoming for everyone who uses it.
One example is their support for free river clean-up bags through the McKenzie River Guides Association. It's a simple idea: make it easier for people to pack out trash and leave the river better than they found it—whether they're on a guided fishing trip, a family float, a whitewater run, or just hanging out at the boat ramp.
Why It Matters
The McKenzie means something different to everyone who spends time here, but we all rely on the same river. Anglers, boaters, paddlers, guides, local families, visitors, and businesses all have a role in taking care of it.
Keeping the river healthy is not complicated. Pick up your trash. Respect access points and private property. Give other people space. Be mindful of wildlife and the folks around you. Those small things add up, and they go a long way toward keeping the river clean, safe, and enjoyable.
